1 (16-ounce) package bowtie pasta (or other pasta)
2 tablespoons oil
1 medium onion, diced
2 cups sliced mushrooms
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups ham, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1 (10-ounce) package frozen peas, thawed
1/2 cup chicken broth
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and place in large bowl.
In large skillet heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, mushrooms, and garlic; cook stirring, until softened (3 minutes).
Stir in ham, peas, chicken broth, and lemon juice. Over high heat, cook for several minutes, stirring until half the liquid has evaporated.
Pour ham mixture over hot pasta. Add Parmesan cheese and toss to mix thoroughly.
Serve with additional cheese, if desired.
