1 pound new potatoes, sliced
2 cups fresh broccoli flowerets
4 small mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup sour cream
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Arrange potatoes in a vegetable steamer over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 minutes. Add broccoli; cover and steam 6 minutes. Add mushrooms; cover and steam 3 minutes. Remove the steamer from heat and uncover.
Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Stir in sour cream, salt, pepper, and celery salt. Combine vegetables and sauce, stirring to coat. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon. Serve immediately.
