Chewy Chocolate Cupcakes

1 cup butter or margarine
4 (1-ounce) semisweet chocolate squares
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt together butter and chocolate in a heavy saucepan over medium heat; stir in pecans. Remove from heat.
Combine sugar and next 3 ingredients. (Do not beat.) Stir in chocolate mixture. Place baking cups in muffin pans; spoon batter into cups, filling three-fourths full.
Bake at 325 for 35 minutes. (Do not over bake.)
