Cherry Pie

3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons corn starch
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cans (1 pound each) pitted sour red cherries, rained with 1/3 cup juice reserved
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 tablespoon margarine
Prepare favorite pastry for double crust 9" pie.
To make filling: Mix dry ingredients; toss with cherries, juice, and almond extract. Bake in 425 oven 15 minutes; reduce to 350 and bake 40 minutes longer.
