Blue Cheese Burgers

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats, uncooked
1 egg, beaten
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
2 ounces blue cheese
1 tablespoon browning-and-seasoning sauce
1 tablespoon water
4 hamburger buns, toasted
Combine first 4 ingredients, mixing well. Shape mixture into 8 patties, 4 inches in diameter. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon blue cheese onto 4 patties; top with remaining 4 patties, and press edges together to seal.
Place patties on a roasting rack in a 12- x 8- x 2-inch baking dish. Combine browning-and-seasoning sauce and water; brush tops of patties. Microwave at HIGH 3 minutes. Turn burgers; brush tops with browning-sauce mixture, and microwave at HIGH 3 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
